About Us

We share a vision to realize the potential and resilience in all children and youth.

Dr. Terri Barriault, Ph.D., C. Psych.

Clinical & School Psychologist

I am a Clinical & School Psychologist with over 28 years of experience helping children, youth and their families. Currently a partner at Roots and Wings Psychology, I was formerly the Clinical Director at Child & Community Resources. I’m passionate about capacity building in the North; teaching, training and supervising professionals in psychology and behaviour analysis, in order to help meet the tremendous needs of our young people. I’m a strong community collaborator, especially if it means bridging gaps in service to meet client’s needs.

People tell me I am calm, compassionate, and I’m confident that I make evidence-informed judgments in the best interest of my clients. I’m a true Northerner as I love the outdoors, pets and wildlife, and travel with my husband and two daughters.

Jennifer Bernier, M.A., C. Psych.

Clinical & School Psychologist

I am a Clinical Psychologist and partner at Roots & Wings Psychology with over 13 years of experience helping children, youth, and their families across Northern Ontario. Formerly a Clinical Supervisor at Child & Community Resources, I have worked directly with children, youth, and their families, as well as supervised others to develop capacity in assessment, early intervention, and behaviour analysis across the North region. Working collaboratively with community partners to support a client’s needs is very important to me.

Outside of work, I enjoy a good book, gardening, spending time with family, and traveling with my husband.

Jennifer Falcioni, M.A., C. Psych.

Clinical Psychologist

I am a Clinical Psychologist and a partner of Roots & Wings Psychology. I have 15 years of experience working in various government agencies and schools in the mental health and developmental sectors. Throughout my career, I have assumed many leadership and capacity building roles. I was responsible for leading the psychology team at Child & Community Resources and helped to build diagnostic assessment capacity in the North.

Currently, I provide assessments and consultations, as well as Applied Behaviour Analysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and JASPER early intervention. Children, youth, and their families are resilient, and I am passionate about helping families better understand their children to experience stability, harmony and success.

During my free time, I love to stay active by teaching spin classes and walking my dog, Tuxon, and my tortoise, Kirby. But most of all, I enjoy laughing (as often as possible) and spending time with family and friends.
